The VAL Formula is a proprietary scoring system developed to assign true civilizational worth to any entity — species, technology, resource, or system. Unlike market pricing, which reflects only what buyers currently pay, VAL(x) accounts for scarcity, survival necessity, ecological role, temporal urgency, and civilizational contribution.
The formula draws on multiple independently weighted factors to produce a single, comparable output: the True Civilizational Value of a given entity. This value is what appears on each campaign page and informs how projects are prioritized within the Lunaeum Fund.
